ASCAP Foundation Grant Procedures for 2008 Funding
Deadline: August 1, 2007 (Letter of Inquiry)
The ASCAP Foundation, a publicly supported 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting American music creators and encouraging their development through music education and talent development programs, funds its own programs and also provides grants to other 501(c)(3) organizations engaged in music education programs for aspiring songwriters and composers.
The foundation's grants average between $3,000 and $5,000 each. Grants are made on an annual one-time basis. Organizations that have already received funding from the ASCAP Foundation may apply in writing for renewed support as part of their required progress report, providing the request is for the same program and same dollar amount. If an organization that has already received funding from the foundation is requesting funding for a new program, a Letter of Inquiry is required.
Applicant organizations must have 501(c)(3) status in order to submit a Letter of Inquiry.
Visit the foundation's Web site for complete program guidelines, application procedures, and information on previous grant recipients.
